COMPANY HISTORY
The GripTite Clamp came into being in 2001 in Houston, Texas when the developer decided that there was a need for an improved design clamp. Traditional sign post clamps proved to be too easy to twist and change the position of the sign, creating dangerous traffic situations.
That's when the GripTite Clamp developer decided that what was needed to make the sign post more secure were raised blade-like wedges on the inside of the clamp. Six 'knives' were added to the inside of the clamp to insure a firm, untwistable grip.
GripTite Clamp also added a unit that allows two signs to be put on the same sign post. This is what is known as the Bac-2-Bac Clamp. Later, the 'Hurricane' or 'Tornado' style clamp was designed. This clamp increases in size from 1 inch to 1 1/4 inch for greater stability.
GripTite Clamp offers convenient packaging options. You can purchase loose parts in bulk or purchase a neatly sealed polybagged kit that includes a pair of clamps and all the hardware needed to complete the sign installation. With the polybagged option all that is needed to install your sign is a wrench.
GripTite Clamp is now family-owned by Joe and Bev Foyt, who with their daughter Tara and their associates strive to help satisfy all of your sign post needs.
OUR METHOD OF OPERATION
Joe Foyt maintains the saws and punch presses and has made several changes in the equipment since the Foyt's purchase of GripTite Clamp in 2004. The end product is now a cleaner and smoother machined clamp. Joe, a master machinist by trade, is always working to improve the quality of the GripTite Clamp.
Bev Foyt handles the accounting, and along with their daughter Tara works in the assembly room putting the orders together and boxing them for shipment. Tara makes sure that the assembly room is always equipped to handle every order, from the smallest to the largest.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
GripTite Clamp Manufacturing is a family-owned business that is committed to helping you with all of your clamp needs. Simply put, our motto is "We're not satisfied until you're satisfied."
